We serve commercial machine tool customers around the world and U.S. Government installations through our Federal Division's GSA contract.
We offer you a dynamic selection of first class CNC training ranging from Haas control training to CNC programming. Our applications services include lean manufacturing consultation and design, set up reduction, programming, and First Part Process Development.
Your custom training solution will be a proven blend of closely guided hands-on training and classroom simulation. We can come to your site to work with your machines and your people, or you can bring your people to us for personalized sessions at one of our Phillips Corporation Haas Factory Outlet Training Centers.

Fred Joseph - President
With a formal background as a tool & die maker, Fred brings practical metalworking experience to his role as president. His extensive experience provides great assistance to both customers and sales staff alike. Fred is a past regional chairperson for the mid-Atlantic region of AMTDA. He received a Bachelors degree in marketing in 2005 and his MBA in 2007, both from Holy Family University.
Brian Smith - Business Unit Manager
Brian is a CNC Applications Engineer/Instructor with 30 years experience in the trade.
After serving his apprenticeship in upstate NY, Brian has worked in job shops, manufacturing companies, racing shops, and has instructed at several community colleges, with a manufacturing background consisting of horizontal and vertical milling, turning, probes, inspection, and process control.
With over 10 years in teaching CNC, Brian has gained extensive knowledge and experience in CNC setup and programming.
Brian’s passion and desire is for keeping U.S. manufacturers on top by being efficient with well trained CNC machinists and programmers.
Jeff Foster - Applications Engineer/Instructor
After operating a successful job shop for 30 years, Jeff decided to semi-retire in 2005, only to realize that he could share all of that information with others if given the opportunity.
In July of 2007 Jeff was fortunate enough to join the Phillips Corporation CNC team giving him the opportunity to share his knowledge with you.
Each day we learn something new.
Jeff’s question to you is “What did you learn today, and what are you going to do with that information?"
Matthew Moyer - Applications Engineer/Instructor
Matthew has expertise in CNC machining with more than 15 years of manufacturing experience. This includes hands-on experience in diverse CNC manufacturing operations [wire EDM; RAM EDM; vertical and horizontal milling; turning; flame cut; precision cutting].
Matthew has thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing; TPS (Toyota Production System); JIT; Kanban System; production scheduling; inventory control; and cost reduction.
His experience includes - estimating, managing, process development, process optimization, macro programming.
Work history includes the setup and operation of the following machining and turning centers: Monarch, Mazak, Makino, Fadal, Cincinnatti, Milltronics, Mori Seiki, Hitachi Seiki.
Work history includes the use of the following software: Unigraphics, Camsoft, Esprit, MasterCam, and AutoCad
Nian Yang - Country Director, Asia
Nian has a background as an educator in south China for more than 6 years in economics and marketing strategy. Nian enters into Phillips CNC A&E’s Asian business with a passion to create better ideas. She is a leader that is rational and decisive in dealings. She is not only a fast learner in business, but also a good instructor with acute insight to the staff.
Nian’s goal is to introduce more overseas advance manufacturing education into China.
Rachel Zhou - Education Specialist, China
Rachel has great technical knowledge thanks to her Bachelor degree in Engineering. In 2006, she completed a Master degree in Economics from Jinan University. Rachel worked in a multinational Japanese-funded Education Group for two years, as a Guangzhou regional manager in education & training.
Presently Rachel is an Education Specialist for Phillips CNC A&E, focusing on the marketing of the U.S. education project in China. She is responsible for communication to colleges and educational institutions.
Kelvin Zou - Educational Specialist, China
Kelvin Zou has strong organizational skills. He graduated from Wuhan University in 1995. Kelvin has over 10 years experience in vocational education, serving as vice president and principal in several vocational schools. His experience allows him to understand the environment and challenges of vocational education. Kelvin is also familiar with the industry’s recruiting requirements.
Kelvin’s goal is to promote the advanced educational concept of CNC to all China and the entire Asian region.
